Privacy and cookies

This page says what happens to the details you send us, and what this site stores on your device. It is short because the site does little: there is no account to create, no database of visitors, and no advertising.

This policy is a working draft prepared from what the site actually does. It has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor and is not final.

What this site stores

Nothing in the first group is set unless you accept it, and declining is remembered so you are not asked again. The second group is what the site needs to function at all.

Who we are

East Asian Arts Company Ltd is a performing arts company based in London, and is the data controller for this site.

To ask anything about this page, or to ask us to delete what we hold about you, email info@eastasianarts.com.

When you send an enquiry

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address and telephone number, the country and location of your event, its date or approximate timing, how many guests you expect, your budget and preferred currency, which performances interest you, and anything else you choose to tell us.

We ask for these because we cannot quote without them. Our basis for using them is that you have asked us for a quote, and taking the steps needed to give you one.

There is also an optional box to hear from us about seasonal programmes. That one is consent, it is never ticked for you, and you can tell us to stop at any time.

Where it goes

The form sends your enquiry to us as an email and nothing else. This site keeps no database and stores no copy of it — there is nowhere on the site for your details to sit.

The email is delivered through our mail provider and arrives in the company mailbox, where the people arranging your booking read it. We do not sell enquiries, share them with other companies, or pass them to advertisers.

If your booking involves performers or partners who need to know the details to do the work, we tell them only what the job requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in the company mailbox. We keep them while there is a reason to — an active conversation, a booking being planned, or a record of work we have done — and no longer than that.

If you would like your enquiry deleted, email info@eastasianarts.com and we will remove it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and performances people look at, which searches and links bring them here, and how many enquiries the site produces.

It runs only if you accept it. Until you do, the analytics tag is loaded but told to store nothing, so no cookie is written and you are not identified across visits. If you decline, it stays that way permanently. You can change your mind at any time from the link at the foot of any page.

We do not use analytics to build a profile of you, and we run no advertising tags, no Meta Pixel, and no cross-site trackers of any kind.

Video

Showreels are held on YouTube. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play, so simply reading a page sends nothing to Google on that account. When you do press play, YouTube's own terms and cookies apply to that player.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps short-term technical logs of requests — including IP addresses — as part of serving and protecting the site. That is ordinary infrastructure logging rather than anything we analyse.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask us to stop using it, or ask for a copy. Email info@eastasianarts.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by telephone on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If this page changes materially, and the change affects what is stored on your device, the cookie banner will ask again rather than assume your earlier answer still stands.
