Chinese and Japanese performers for events and weddings

Four kinds of booking make up most of our work. Whatever yours is, the route is the same — tell us the occasion and we'll build the programme around it.

What we bring to each occasion

Most of our work falls into four kinds of booking. Each has its own page with the acts that suit it, the practical detail and the questions bookers ask.

Corporate events

Openings, launches, galas and conferences. Lion dance to open, Chinese drums between sessions, mask changing after dinner. Insurance, risk assessments and method statements supplied.

Weddings

Lion dance for the arrival, guzheng through the tea ceremony, fan dance at the banquet. One moment is often enough, and we will say so.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year entertainment for the season from late January to early March: lion dance, dragon dance and drums. Enquire by November.

Private occasions

Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, private dinners and receptions. A solo pipa or erhu player, a single dancer, or mask changing at close range.

How booking works

Tell us the occasion, venue, date and roughly how many guests. We reply within one working day and propose acts, timings and formats within two. The written quote covers performers, costumes, music and set-up, with no hidden extras. Travel within London is included; outside London, travel and accommodation are quoted separately. A deposit secures the date.

We liaise with your venue, planner and AV team, and arrive 60 to 90 minutes before to set up. Public liability insurance, risk assessments and method statements are available for every act, and we will tell you plainly if a room does not suit an act.

Standard bookings need four to eight weeks. A new piece or custom costume needs three months or more, and Chinese New Year books out early. Tell us about your event.
